changing the date format to UK

I have installed and the only problem i have found is that the datepicker picks US format which will not store until i change it to a UK format

I assume you are using the non DotNetNuke version? The date picker is a well known JQuery datapicker that is supposed to obey your "culture" set in your web browser. Can you check that it is set correctly?
If you do have it set correctly, it is a problem for us to fix because it is JavaScript and can work on one computer but not on another. Because a user can enter the data manually we wont consider it a "fatal error", but if it is not acceptable for you, you can remove the date pickers.
