We are utilizing the aDefHelpDesk with other modules(HTML) on the page. We are also displaying the Container. This works OK in the View module...but not the Edit(when displaying the detail)...nor in the Admin Mode. We are customizing the module...so we can make changes to the code. The question is: what is missing in the edit and admin pages?

What occurs is that the HTML module(s) do not display when in Edit.

That is normal behavior for a DotNetNuke module. When in edit mode, all other modules disappear.

Is there a way to get around this behavior?

The reason that I'm asking is that we want to utilize the module in conjunction with other help text(in an HTML module). When the user wants to see the status or add a comment, the page "changes" when all the other modules disappear. Is it the placement of the view detail in the EditTask.ascx that is causing this behavior or is there a value that is getting set that causes this? Is there a value that I can set that can control the behavior?

Thanks!

DotNetNuke is designed that when a module goes into edit mode, it switched to the "Admin skin", and all other modules disappear. It may be possible to alter the admin skin to show other modules, but I have no experience in that.

Would moving the EditTask functions and panels into the View module fix this? Is there a way to not have the EditTask use the admin skin or indicate that it is not in edit mode?

The module is working as designed. If you want to alter the module to fit your particular requirements you can do so. However, you would not be able to upgrade it.
